REVIEW: TONNER - 'CASTLES'

Orlando-based songwriter and producer Tonner is back with his spellbinding new single 'Castles'. While the track conveys a warming synth-pop infused energy on the surface, below lies a deeper meaning as Tonner explores his relationship with those in his life he has loved and lost. Tonner explains in detail:

This song is dedicated to friends of mine who have passed away. People I knew from my teenage years, that I can remember learning instruments together and playing our first shows together. It's shocking when someone leaves before their time. While I don't personally believe in an afterlife, but I do believe that nobody who's been loved is ever really gone. They live on in our spirits. For me, this means I'm constantly dedicating myself to be the best I can be, not only on behalf of myself but for those who can't be here. I know there are a lot of people out there who have dealt with the tragedy of losing loved ones, especially in the last few pandemic years. I wrote this song to try and bring myself some healing and I hope it can do the same for others in its own small way.”

The single also arrives with a brand new music video! The stripped back setting of Tonner at his keyboard with just a white background creates an intimate atmosphere as he performs his heartfelt track.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled as Tonner's due to drop full-length album 'WALLS COME DOWN' later this year!
