REVIEW: Valencia - 'No Caller ID'
An ode to the fickle emotions that come with a drunken phone call, Valencia are taking a light-hearted approach to the matter with their captivating new single “No Caller ID”.
The LA-based duo, consisting of California’s Jadeyn Madsen and London’s Lou Courts, use breezy acoustics and opposing EDM-laden basslines to create a sound that is both funky and unique yet not short of feeling. With their harmonious vocal-cuts, the track is an indication of the raw talent they have to offer. With the streams from their previous releases soaring towards the million mark, they are already being admired for their artistic prowess.
Appointing singer-songwriter and producer Alex Angelo as a feature on the track, his renowned slick touches and glossy finishes are evident throughout, bringing it to a new level that can compete with the biggest in the industry. With plenty more releases planned for the year, 2021 is set to be Valencia’s most remarkable one to date.
