Rob Bellamy & The Rebel Hearts bring a northern voice to country rock

Rob Bellamy & The Rebel Hearts have released 'Northern State of Mind', a new album shaped by the landscapes and communities of New England.

Rather than drawing on familiar southern imagery, the record focuses on frozen roads, working towns, family life and the determination required to endure long winters. The band combine country, Americana and rock across songs centred on identity, home and personal renewal.

Lead single “Cold Country” introduces that perspective through sweeping guitars, forceful rhythms and lyrics inspired by a conversation about making country music in one of America’s coldest regions.

Bellamy previously spent seven years as a professional hockey player after being drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers. His career also included a period with the Nottingham Panthers in the UK before he moved fully into songwriting.
