Multifaceted artist, musician and recovery advocate ryan john clary has been honing his craft for over a decade, leading to his dynamic career, from performing as a session musician to debuting as a solo artist. Although he has led a fulfilling music career, by day clary works as a mental health professional, and his music’s purpose is to offer comfort and serve as a voice for others during difficult times.

Driven by a passion for supporting others with mental health challenges, ‘bandit’ is a powerful message of frustration, validation and emotional complexity. The seven-track EP takes cues from renowned artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Elliot Smith, weaving together gentle vocals with rich, atmospheric string sections. A standout moment of the project comes from a moving interlude honouring clay’s late friend and collaborator, Jordan Brooks. Blending elements of folk-pop and indie-rock, ‘bandit’ delivers a powerful emotional journey.

Discussing his latest release, clary shares, “This is the most disciplined and focused I’ve been making a record. I’m very proud of it and I hope it can bring people comfort during this hard time.”
