Sandancer is the alias of Howard Whiddett, who has already seen success as a musician, being a member of Jamiroquai, sharing the stage with Snoop Dogg and DJing for Róisín Murphy. He is also one half of electronic music duo Qtier who have seen significant success through notable tracks ‘Still’ and ‘Set Me On’ on both streaming services and radio stations.
Building on the success of his previous two releases, Sandancer returns with his new single ‘Breathe’. It is as infectious as it is cinematic, showcasing a fresh take on electronic music and featuring textural synths that grab each fibre of your body one by one. The track features Nate Williams, who brings his soulful vocals to the track. Overall, it’s introspective, dynamic and haunting.
On the new single, Sandancer says, “With this one I took down the tempo while Nate’s vocal reflects on past regrets and works through finding acceptance. In the chorus we transition from the introspective theme present in my previous tracks and attempt to just chill for a moment or two.”
With a soundscape unlike any other, Sandancer continues to expand his vision of vivid synthesisers creating a supernova of sound. A pioneer in the space.
