Edward Sansom is the genius behind SANSOM. Hailing from Brighton, SANSOM has a distinctive rock sound that pays homage to a whole host of music genres that, in turn, has created a refreshing and signature sound. Landing on stages at the likes of Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Camden Rocks, SANSOM has quickly gained a growing audience.
SANSOM’s latest offering comes in the form of single “Sinner.” The track features pounding drums, driving bass lines and distortion soaked guitars. SANSOM’s emotional lyricsm works hand in glove with his personality-soaked vocal tones - a combination that will be sure to create a lasting impact. Accompanying is an immersive music video that creates a powerful visual and sonic combination.
Speaking about the track, he says: “The track is inspired by the so-called-rules of certain religions. I had experienced stories from friends about certain churches that weren’t, exactly, accepting of members' sexuality. No one should ever be made to feel like an outsider because of who they are. Of course, there are some beautiful churches led with a modern direction and love at its centre. However, I was calling that church out that was backwards in its view of sexuality. I want to stand with the ones that don’t fit in with certain views, people that feel like they don’t belong and show them they’re not alone.”
