Five songs can say a surprising amount when each one has its own purpose. On Just a Daydream, out now through Now Listen, AMBER takes listeners through romance, reflection and personal growth with warmth, style and plenty of musical variety.
Each track brings its own character. "St Tropez" opens with a sense of possibility, "Obsession" leans into infatuation, and "Say What" injects a lively groove as it explores the misunderstandings that can grow when feelings go unspoken. Later, "Find Love" and "Aromatherapy" bring the focus inward, giving the EP a satisfying finish.
Recorded with producer Kipper Eldridge, the project balances soulful melodies, jazz influences, vintage pop and touches of funk without ever feeling crowded. The arrangements support the mood of each song, allowing AMBER's vocals and storytelling to remain at the heart of the EP.
Just a Daydream feels like the kind of release that benefits from hearing in one sitting. Each song adds something different, and together they create an inviting listen that will keep you going back again and again.
