Stolen Day debut ambitious single Butterfly

The nocturnal debut from Dub Sonata and Alex Fitts, via new outfit Stolen Days is a perfect debut outing, with a shroud mix of samples and live instrumentation. Complete with a moody riff, dark arrangement and a tremendous vocal delivery from Alex Fitts, of The Kickdrums.

With the pair's glittering testimonials, including working with SZA, Kid Cudi, Sage Francis and more, it's no surprise Butterfly is a marvel of both production and writing.

Discussing the single, the duo explains, “We tried our best to push each other creatively on Butterfly, using our individual production styles to come up with something unique. The lyrics about change resonate with both of us a lot.”

As an introduction, the single is assured but deliberately mysterious. Butterfly reveals enough to establish Stolen Days as an intriguing new project while leaving its possibilities enticingly open.
