Liverpool indie-rock trio The Memos are continuing their upward climb with the release of their latest single 'Born Again' — a bold and uplifting preview of their forthcoming EP Futures Ours to Find.
Following recent collaborations with Kyle Falconer (The View) and Justin Hawkins (The Darkness), the band return with a track centred on resilience, second chances, and personal rebirth. Known for their raw energy, heartfelt lyricism, and accessible songwriting, 'Born Again' captures the group’s knack for marrying indie-rock grit with radio-ready melodies.
Frontman Aaron Spencer delivers a powerful vocal performance and emotive storytelling, propelled by Gary Robertson’s driving bass lines. The sound is rounded out by Zak Langford-Do, whose San Francisco roots bring a distinctive transatlantic edge to the band’s sonic palette. The result is a track that retains the immediacy of their live shows while refining their studio craft.
Speaking about the single, the band said:
"Born Again is about remembering the power you’ve always had, even when life makes you forget it. It’s that moment when you realise you’re stronger than you thought - when you take back control and start again. A song that epitomises the feeling of betrayal and losing someone close to you. However, even when you are at rock bottom, you can always dig something deep at your core to put yourself back on top and channel self-doubt into accomplishment."
Futures Ours to Find was recorded at The Motor Museum with producer Ben Harper (The Mysterines, The Zutons, The Sherlocks), marking a significant step in the band’s growth and musical maturity. Early airplay from Amazing Radio and SiriusXM has bolstered their momentum, with critics drawing comparisons to Sam Fender and Catfish and the Bottlemen.
The Memos’ live reputation is also on the rise, with recent performances extending well beyond their Merseyside base — including a set at The Halliwell Jones Stadium before an audience of 10,000.
