The Millennial Club releases an 80’s pop and 90s R&B infused EP: 'When It’s Just You & I'

Southern California-based band The Millennial Club have released a new infectious offering 'When It’s Just You & I.' The EP nods to 80’s pop and 90s R&B, as well as mixing contemporary influences, all executed through their Millennial Club goggles. Infectious vocal melodies ebb and flow between synth drenched pop, supported by the driving drums. The EP presents a range of feelings and emotions - uncertainty of love, broken promises, and the beauty found in small, intimate moments can all be found on the EP.
The band also find more tender moments with soft, emotional vocals lacing these tracks. These work hand in glove next to hard-hitting bangers that can be found on this EP. With this in mind, the EP is set to take the listener on a journey through it's well penned track listing.
Guitarist and singer Andres Owens says: “When it comes down to it, I think that as artists, we all want to impact the world in some way, however big or small; the real reason we do what we do is because we can’t help but feel like we have to. We have to create, express, mold, shape, shift, contort, and most importantly, release the emotions and ideas within us. ‘When It’s Just You & I’ showcases a new side to our musicality while remaining consistent and cohesive to what we’ve come to define as ‘our sound’ as The Millennial Club.”
The group was formed when singer/guitarist Andres Owens was joined by bassist/keyboardist, Jared Ortiz, in late 2016, later adding guitarist/saxophonist Jake Stevenson and they’ve already gone from strength to strength. The band has opened for Conan Gray, Charlotte Lawrence, Hippie Sabotage, Katelyn Tarver, MOONZz, and Quinn XCII to name a few. With an well presented live show, it seems this band has nothing stopping them taking it to the top.
