Thiago Trosso’s lilting folk-rock warmer ‘Future’s Looking Bright’

Thiago Trosso has returned with the single ‘Future’s Looking Bright’, an optimistic anthem released ahead of his upcoming album Magnet. The track offers a sense of solace, following our protagonist as he breaks free from a problematic relationship and finds his feet for dazzling new prospects ahead.

Trickling acoustic guitars and soft vocals snowball first into shuffling percussion and bright rhythms, then into a punchy, uplifting mix of electric guitar, drums, bass and all our previous instrumentation. The vocals shift to the delicate, then become empowered. With each layer, there’s more charm, the joy and strength rising to an anthemic chant of self-confidence. The alt-folk-to-indie-rock jump is unrushed yet explosive.

Moving from Brazil to London, Thiago has been part of punk, ska and reggae scenes before settling into a solo project that surrounds folk rock. Plenty of success as part of bands and on his own, his debut album Magnet is slated for release later this year.
