British bedroom-pop duo Tree Trunks return with 'Tiempo', the second single from their forthcoming LP 'Hot Fruit', out 6th March via Slop Records.

The track, a breezy yet introspective blend of sped-up reggaeton and lo-fi pop, brings together the rhythmic experimentation of Sam Lewis’s half-Chilean heritage with lyrical reflections on parenthood, identity, and political disillusionment. “It was a patchwork of thoughts,” Lewis says, citing influences ranging from the joy of becoming a father to the emotional weight of lockdown and grappling with his Jewish identity in the shadow of the war in Gaza.

On ‘Tiempo’, Tree Trunk, comprised of London’s Sam Lewis and Brighton-based Robert Hunter, juxtapose bright textures and off-kilter grooves with quietly raw lyrical honesty. It’s a sound that defines their upcoming second album 'Hot Fruit', which explores modern anxieties through playful, leftfield pop.
