5 Songs I Love w/ Capsula

Following the release of their latest album Primitivo Astral, Flex caught up with Basque-Argentine psych-rock trio Capsula to find out more about their varied sound that ranges from 60s and 70s punk, garage, and surf rock to experimental, post-punk, and psychedelic sounds.

If you enjoy Capsula's picks be sure to check out Primitivo Astral at the end of the article, you won't be disappointed!

1. Black Sabbath - "War Pigs"

The heaviness and rebellious spirit of Black Sabbath have always been a huge influence on us. The dark themes, the intense riffs—everything about this song resonates deeply with our approach to music.

2. Jimi Hendrix - "Machine Gun"

Jimi Hendrix has always been a guiding light for us. The power in "Machine Gun"—from the intensity of his guitar to the raw emotion of his vocals—hits us like a lightning bolt every time.

3. Pescado Rabioso - "Post-Crucifixión"

As a South American band, Pescado Rabioso is one of our strongest references. "Post-Crucifixión" captures the psychedelic rock and introspective nature that inspired us during our formative years.

4. The Stooges - "Loose"

The raw, primal energy of The Stooges is something we constantly look up to. "Loose" is such a direct, visceral song that always gets us fired up.

5. Os Mutantes - "Bat Macumba"

The psychedelic sounds and inventive spirit of Os Mutantes inspire us to push boundaries. "Bat Macumba" blends different musical traditions in such a creative way that it continues to influence how we approach our own music.
