5 Songs I Love w/ Sean Michael

Following the release of his empowering single 'No Silence', rapper Sean Michael has led by example with raising a huge awareness towards the BLW charities, His latest track features Michael's studio performance of the song, woven as an animation depicting racial injustices minorities face every day.

With how impressive his message is, we wanted to know what inspired his sound all these years. So we asked him what five tracks he loves to get a better idea of his influences.

Run The Jewel - JU$T

This has all the makings of a great song. The message is clear as day, and the delivery is absolutely incredible. With a very fitting feature of Zach de la Rocha and an incredibly catchy hook from Pharrell, the song keeps your attention throughout its entirety.

Denzel Curry - Diet_

This right here.. this song goes! The beat is super unique and Denzel just lives on it. The way he changes his voice is incredible, gives the song an energy you aren’t expecting.

Jayy Grams - Deep End

Jayy Grams is a dope up and comer. His pen game is incredible and on this song he showcases that. His bars are on point the entire track, but unlike a lot rappers who focus on bars his hooks are on point. This song doesn’t miss.

IDK - In My White Tee

IDK is way dope. This single just gets everything right. The flow is solid, the hook is really catchy with a nostalgic call back. Cant go wrong with track at all. It’s also very short which is a good thing, it doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not.

J. Cole - The Climb Back

This song is just done right. His verses sound like battle rap verses, and his wordplay is crazy.  I love the message, and the vibe this song has. Really, really dope track.
