5 Songs I Love w/ DinoVert

Kenny Sandberg

Following the release of DinoVert's new single Runaway, we caught up with him to gain some insight into the influences that make up this modern sound. If you like his choices, be sure to check out the track.

1. Let You - Iann Dior

I have been following Iann Dior since he was a very small artist. He had always had a distinct Hip-Hop sound, but when he released this track I was blown away. He took a step away from his normal sound and released this Pop track. It was an inspiration to me because it showed me that artists don’t always have to be confined to one genre.

2. I think I’m Okay - Machine Gun Kelly

This track changed the way I viewed music. It made me see that you don’t need to always stick to your ‘sound’ as an artist, and that sometimes experimenting with new things can be your greatest success. It made me feel like I was a kid again listening to pop-punk songs in the early 2000’s.

3. Empty - Juice WRLD

I have always been a fan of Juice WRLD because he let out his emotions in his music with no shame. His music helped me through alot of anxiety through highschool with this song in particular. The lyrics in this track really resonated with me and what I was going through. One of my favorite tracks of all time.

4. Eruption - Van Halen

My parents first showed me Van Halen when I was a little kid and I immediately fell in love with their sound. I particularly gravited to Eddie Van Halen’s sound because it was like nothing I had ever heard before. This solo by him is what made me pick up a guitar and start to become a musician. The way he played guitar was revolutionary in music. He truly invented his own sound, and that is what I dream of doing in music.

5. What’s My Age Again - Blink-182

Blink-182 was one of my favorite bands growing up and this is a song that will always remind me of my childhood. If anyone mentions 2000s rock, Blink-182 is a band that nobody can leave out of the conversation.
