Fresh off the exciting announcement of his inclusion in this year's Latitude Festival lineup, Suffolk's rising Alt-Pop sensation, Loome, unveils his latest single, 'Day I Died'. Set to captivate audiences with its elegant, introspective, and melancholic essence, this track serves as the poignant second offering from Loome's highly anticipated debut album, 'Astrohearts'.

'Day I Died' delves deep into the emotive core of Loome's songwriting, deftly intertwining raw emotion with pop sensibilities. The track is adorned with meticulously crafted alternative instrumentation, creating a lush sonic tapestry that envelops listeners in its emotive allure. Anchored by a restrained backdrop of chorus-tinted guitar chords, fuzzy tones, and ethereal synth layers, Loome's velvety lead vocals soar above, delivering introspective lyricism with unwavering sincerity.

As the song progresses, it gracefully evolves, introducing lo-fi drums that infuse the track with a gentle pulse, while vibrant lead synth melodies cascade in the background, accentuating the infectious catchiness of the lead line. The result is a captivating sonic journey that resonates deeply with its audience, drawing them into Loome's introspective world.

Speaking about the inspiration behind 'Day I Died', Loome reveals: “I’ve recently learned of a genetic disorder which I’ve been told by my doctor puts my first heart attack at the age of 38, I’m currently 33. So even with a pretty intense treatment plan in place, this feels like a death sentence. Writing songs has always been how I deal with emotions, so naturally I locked myself in my studio whilst processing this bombshell. Even though I am told I’ll live a long and healthy life with treatment, this was a huge wake-up call to how I was spending my time and what I wanted my life to be about. This song is specifically about THAT day and how even though I can change my future, I can’t change my past. Things I wish I had done differently will always ‘just be’ even if I drop dead tomorrow.”

Self-recorded and self-produced, 'Astrohearts' promises to be a defining moment in Loome's musical journey, showcasing his growth and artistic vision. With 'Day I Died' as a stellar example of his emotive prowess, Loome invites listeners to embark on a profound sonic exploration, inviting them to feel deeply and reflect introspectively on the human experience.
