Swedish singer-songwriter Antonio Cordua returns with ‘Older’, delivering an immersive alt-folk single that details shifting perspectives. Predominantly, it talks about those towards the world and the people around us as we grow up. Textured indie instrumentation is paired with poetic, emotive lyricism, the whole aesthetic feeling like the softness of a memory.

A warm, synth-tinged introduction is grounded in delicate acoustic guitars, unfolding with graceful patience. Heartfelt vocals are reflective, as what once seemed invincible begins to feel flawed, fragile and ultimately, more deeply loved.

He shares,  “I wrote this record around my relationship with my grandmother and how, as you grow older, the view of your parents and, in my case, my grandmother changes. They are no longer the invincible person that you thought they were as a kid. You start to look at them as an individual with their flaws and problems, but with that comes a greater gratitude and love that you didn't have before. You start to empathise and understand them in a way you couldn't before as a kid.”

A self-taught producer and multi-instrumentalist, this follows a string of independent releases. ‘Older’ is his most personal yet; a track about empathy, memory, and what it means to see clearly for the first time.
