Ava Valianti reflects on the pain of growing up on new single 'Wishing Well'

Massachusetts-born singer-songwriter Ava Valianti continues to captivate listeners with her heartfelt lyricism and indie-pop sound. Her latest single 'Wishing Well' is a poignant exploration of the challenges of growing up and the bittersweet process of letting go.

Inspired by personal experiences, 'Wishing Well' reflects on the loss of beloved childhood landmarks, including the Mountain View Grand Hotel, a favourite waterslide at the Anchorage Inn, and the wishing well outside a pancake house her family frequented. These seemingly small changes symbolise the fading simplicity and joy of youth, replaced by the complexities of adulthood.

“The song captures the desire to hold on to childlike wonder and the fear of losing oneself in the process,” Ava shares. “It’s about the pain of letting go, the longing to return to the past, and the challenge of accepting change, while still clinging to hope and the magic of believing.”
