Bootie Brown Teases New Project With Latest Single 'Suddenly'

Legendary Hip-hop artist and producer Bootie Brown, known for shaping the non-gangster West Coast music through his work with The Pharcyde, has just dropped his latest single 'Suddenly.' This release follows his successful collaboration with the Gorillaz on 'New Gold' earlier this year, where he featured alongside Tame Impala.

'Suddenly' presents a new electronic-focused sound for Brown, featuring vocals from 'Amy Correa Bell' and co-production by Les Les. It serves as the first glimpse into Brown's upcoming 'UltraHipFunkWave' project, blending electronic elements with funk and RnB sensibilities, creating an irresistibly fluid sound that captivates listeners. Fans can also expect a remix of the track in the near future.

Brown describes the track as an instant mover, inviting people to get to know him better as a writer and producer. His artistic journey began with the hit 'Passin' Me By' by The Pharcyde, leading to the success of their debut album 'Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde' and 'Labcabincalifornia.' These accomplishments solidified Brown's legacy in Hip-hop and opened doors for him to explore his creative lanes lyrically and in production, eventually collaborating with Dangermouse and the Gorillaz.

From receiving a Grammy nomination for 'Dirty Harry' to recording a remix of the iconic "Clint Eastwood" with Dave of De La Soul, Bootie Brown's musical evolution continues as he delves deeper into the realm of electronic music, building on his storied career in 90's rap culture and his meteoric success with the Gorillaz.
