Carl Yeung shares playful new single 'Oh, Rudi!'

Indie singer-songwriter Carl Yeung returns with his third single of 2025, 'Oh, Rudi!' This breezy, surf-pop gem stands out not just for its shimmering melodies and sunny charm, but for its unexpected subject: a dog who simply won’t give him the time of day.

Now based in London, the Newcastle-born artist continues to win over fans with his infectious blend of witty storytelling and heartfelt hooks. Following on from a string of warmly received singles, 'Oh, Rudi!' arrives as the latest preview of his upcoming debut EP 'Casanova Karaoke', due this August.

Speaking about the song, Yeung shares: “It actually started as a typical love song about a human, but at some point, it just became obvious it needed to be about my girlfriend’s dog instead. There was a lot of smiling and laughing while writing it, and I hope people can hear that joy in the track.”
