Pittsburgh-based artist Tory Silver has announced her new album 'In Through the Front with Lasers', set for release on May 29 via Michi Tapes, alongside the unveiling of new single 'Microwave' and its accompanying video.
Built around jangly electric guitars and understated melodies, 'Microwave' finds Silver reflecting on everyday routines and quiet frustrations, drawing emotion from the ordinary. The track captures a sense of wistfulness, turning small, familiar moments into something more introspective and resonant.
Known for blending garage-rock textures with indie-pop sensibilities, Silver continues to explore themes of uncertainty, discomfort, and the realities of navigating daily life. Her songwriting focuses less on resolution and more on understanding, embracing feelings rather than avoiding them.
The upcoming album was produced and engineered by Melina Duterte (Jay Som), combining bright, melodic surfaces with more emotionally direct lyricism beneath. Across the record, Tory Silver balances catchy hooks with deeper reflections on persistence and personal growth.
