Following the evocative singles 'God, We Tried' and 'Romeo', UK singer-songwriter Charlotte OC shares her deeply personal new EP 'Seriously Love, Go Home'. The release marks a powerful new chapter for the artist, capturing themes of heartbreak, self-reckoning, and the bittersweet release that comes from finally letting go.
The EP serves as both a farewell and a fresh start, described by Charlotte as a bridge to the next phase of her life and sound. “I’m letting go of a lot in this EP,” she shares. “These songs feel like they’ve given me my momentum back, and I hope they reach anyone who’s going through it — whether you’re heartbroken, falling in love, or learning how to live with loss. I hope it keeps you company.”
The focus track 'Cider and Black' stands out as a fierce, brutally honest self-destruction anthem. With a backdrop of smoldering guitars and Charlotte’s hauntingly powerful vocals, the song captures the reckless allure of spiraling out, a defiant embrace of chaos that simultaneously reveals deep vulnerability beneath. “Cider and Black was my self-destruct anthem,” she explains. “It’s about doubling down on your chaos and wearing it like a badge of honour, even when underneath it all, you’re in pieces.”
