Even though City Fidelia hails from Canada, he has received a global warm welcome. As supported by Spotify’s ‘Raw & Uncut’, ‘Mood Ring’ and ‘Northern Bars’ editorial playlists, City Fidelia has generated over 7 million streams all together on the streaming platform.
His latest offering "Painkiller" is a well-flowing 15 track album. The album features everything from bouncy, dance-esc tracks to R&B fused tracks. Jazz pianos, heartwarming synths and playful drums all merge together to forge his unique and signature sound that is much loved. Despite an obvious mix of influences, City Fidelia's personality always shines through, making each track very much his own.
Discussing the record City Fidelia explains:
“My upcoming album is meant to be a self-imposed therapy. I explore my inner child and express the different ways my friends and I numbed the pain with topics related to growing up in a broken home, depression, love lost, but also a spiritual experience. This project is to let anybody dealing with pain know that they are not alone.”
A role model to many in his community, Luigi has earned the respect of his peers being deemed Ottawa’s “Mayor” through his philanthropic initiatives and endeavors meant to serve and grow his community. From the age of nine, Fidelia’s mother was a strong support for kids in their community by bailing them out of jail and providing a space for the homeless youth. Fidelia credits these actions for inspiring him to become a community builder with an entrepreneurial spirit. In 2020, Fidelia founded the Real House Of Ensemble along with partners Stan Lukoki, head of the agency, Abe Abadi and his brother Jeff Sanon. Early this year Luigi was appointed program director at CHUO radio station, since then achieving his goal of providing jobs to a plethora of BIPOC individuals in the city. City Fidelia has performed at sold-out shows in North America, Asia, and Europe and has previously collaborated and gained recognition from artists like Malik Yusef of G.O.O.D Music, Timbaland and Vic Mensa. City Fidelia is gearing up to release his full album “Painkiller” later this year with a special feature from LVRN artist Shelley FKA Dram.
