Don Amirio delves into being hooked on love despite relationship tensions on "Hooked On"

Rising talent Don Amirio delves into tensions in a relationship on melancholic track “Hooked On,” which sways between rap and vocals upon a layered instrumental with R&B and hip-hop undertones.

Carried by his quiet yet emotive vocals, the chill yet gritty number draws inspiration from his own relationship, and feeling hooked to love even when tensions dominate.

Taken off his upcoming project, The STONR Tape, the track which draws from a Coop The Truth x Teddi Jones sample comes to life with a delicate blend of feeble vocals, heavy guitars and soft yet impactful beats.

Speaking of the track, he says, “The lyrics were inspired by my current relationship... We were arguing a lot and almost broke up, but wanted to work things out. This song captures the feeling of sometimes thinking things may not be right, yet still feeling "Hooked On" to the other person.”

Having picked up the guitar at age nine before falling in love with beatboxing and production, Don Amirio has infused comfort and catharsis into his soulful and expressive sonics as he continues his musical ascent as an act to watch.
