Elise Trouw has revealed a bold new direction with the release of “All You Need Is Lust,” the first single from her forthcoming project The Diary of Elon Lust. The track arrives alongside a surreal music video, directed by Trouw herself, which draws on Bosch-like imagery to deliver a satirical take on modern masculinity.

The Elon Lust persona, described by Trouw as a character pieced together from things men have said to her and others, serves as a vehicle for exploring misogyny in an intentionally uncomfortable yet humorous way. By embodying the voice rather than condemning it outright, Trouw offers a striking commentary on performative progressiveness and male entitlement.

Musically, the single is carried by a hypnotic minimal groove that contrasts sharply with the sharp-edged lyrics. The full project, The Diary of Elon Lust, will be released February 13th.
