Adelaide-born songwriter Ella Ion unveils her latest single 'Blue Black Crows', out now via Our Golden Friend. A sweeping moment of reflection and ache, the track showcases Ion’s knack for crafting songs that feel both intimate and cinematic, her voice floating above textured arrangements with grace and grit. Produced by longtime collaborator Stefan Blair (Good Morning), the single captures Ion at her most emotionally resonant, leaning into longing with piercing lyricism and composure.

Mixed by Dylan Young (Way Dynamic) and mastered by Liam “Snowy” Halliwell (Snowy Band), the single follows a string of critically acclaimed two-tracks from earlier this year and builds on momentum from performances at Green Man Festival, support slots with Jake Bugg and Greg Mendez, and a standout moment supporting Suki Waterhouse at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre.

Now, Ion embarks on her debut Australian headline tour with stops in Adelaide, Sydney, Thirroul and Melbourne, plus BIGSOUND showcases and support dates with Folk Bitch Trio.
