Rising folk-rock guitarist and songwriter Emma Harner shares her latest single 'False Alarm', a gently arresting reflection on homesickness, trust, and finding one’s place in unfamiliar surroundings. With intricate fingerpicked guitar lines and ethereal vocals, the track is both intimate and expansive, anchored by Harner’s deeply personal lyricism and compositional finesse.

Written after moving from Nebraska to Boston to study at Berklee, the track explores the emotional aftermath of dislocation. “I was overwhelmed by the sensory chaos of the city,” Harner shares, “and learning how to trust again.” That sense of vulnerability pulses through the track, which balances quiet introspection with harmonic complexity.

Already known for her viral guitar videos and breakout debut 'When You Mean It', Harner has since opened for Orla Gartland, mxmtoon, Tiny Habits, and The Bygones, establishing herself as a standout new voice in indie folk. 'False Alarm' offers a moving preview of her anticipated debut EP, set for release later this year.
