French singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Felix Antonio continues to build momentum with ‘Felix Antonio & The Sea’, a seven-track EP that marks a significant step forward in his development as a solo artist. Blending contemporary indie folk with atmospheric production and emotionally direct songwriting, the release showcases a musician increasingly confident in his creative identity.

Born in Normandy in 2001, Antonio developed his musical foundations through choir, clarinet and piano before discovering guitar and pursuing songwriting. His previous project, indie pop band Silk Skin Lovers, amassed millions of streams before concluding in 2023, providing valuable experience across songwriting, production and performance. Following his 2024 solo debut EP, ‘Simpler Times’, this latest release demonstrates a more defined approach to both arrangement and storytelling.

Across seven tracks, Antonio explores themes of transformation, dependency, loss and renewal, using the sea as a recurring metaphor for escape and new beginnings. Influences spanning Sufjan Stevens, James Blake and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young inform a sound that balances organic instrumentation with contemporary indie production. Lead single “it’s over, i’m sober” anchors the project with a candid reflection on sobriety and breaking destructive patterns, while “Waiting for the Sun to Rise” showcases his ability to build expansive, cinematic arrangements from acoustic foundations. “Rollin Down The Road” offers a warmer, nostalgic take on romance and possibility.

Beyond its songwriting strengths, ‘Felix Antonio & The Sea’ highlights Antonio’s growing capabilities as a recording artist, with considered production supporting rather than overshadowing the emotional core of his work. His live appearances at Bars en Trans and performances alongside artists including Sylvie Kreusch, Rhodes and Sawyer Hill, alongside his selection for Les Chantiers des Francos, reflect growing industry recognition. With the support of InFiné, Antonio is building a foundation for further growth, positioning ‘Felix Antonio & The Sea’ as a compelling statement of artistic direction and a promising step in his solo career.
