Fraser Morgan returns with 'The Girl In The Library', a magnetic fusion of rap, folk, and raw storytelling that stays true to the rising singer-songwriters folk-pop style. The lead single taken from the forthcoming EP Songs About Girls (out June 1st), it's an infectious, joyous and heartfelt offering that sets the tone ahead of the mammoth 35+ date UK tour through the summer, including major festival slots at Boomtown and Leestock.

Produced by Joel Scrimshaw, 'The Girl In The Library' paints a vivid portrait of fleeting connection—two strangers drawn together with only three weeks to share a spark before parting ways. It's a story of almost-love, told with Fraser's signature rapid-fire vocal delivery and lyrical candour. Laced with Celtic instrumentation, the song carries a cinematic quality while staying grounded in emotional truth.

Fraser explains:"The track is like a weird rappy Celtic-folk one and is 100% word-for-word a true story of, unrequited love I guess. The type of love you never get to see through to its end. I carried that heavy feeling with me for a very long time, but I ended up being able to turn that feeling into a positive lesson of which brought me to where I am today and I couldn’t be more grateful."

The single leads into Songs About Girls, a proudly DIY EP powered by the support of over 70 fans who helped smash the crowdfunding target in under 24 hours. Recorded at Myopia Music Rooms, the EP is rich with mandolins, violins, cowbells, and Fraser’s unique lyrical agility—blending raw vulnerability with humour, charm, and breakneck storytelling.

With more than 1,000 shows behind him, including a sold-out milestone at Colchester Arts Centre, Fraser has built a loyal following across the UK’s grassroots circuit. Whether solo or fronting his band Fraser Morgan & The Great Catastrophes, he’s known for his unpredictable, high-energy sets—equally likely to make you laugh as they are to leave a lump in your throat. Comparisons to Frank Turner, Jamie T, and Nizlopi feel earned, but Fraser remains entirely his own.

2025 will see him hit the road with shows and festival appearances across the UK, including Bearded Theory, The Green Gathering, Hidden Door Festival, Cottingham Folk Fest, Leigh Folk Festival, and Boomtown, as well as support slots for Mad Dog Mcrea and Dan Donnelly (The Levellers).
