Laying dormant for over two decades, the material from Giant Killers had been laying dormant in label offices - just waiting for its moment to shine. Following a lengthy journey to get their masters back, the group's material sounds just as punchy and energetic as it did in their nineties hay-day.
Following a string of releases leading up to their debut album, the group are back with their latest single ’Who Am I Fooling?’, the latest single to be unveiled by the group. Reclaiming their distinctive nineties groove, the single feels equal parts exciting as it is energetic. A rebellious underbelly comes fronted with a roaring guitar glow, perhaps resemblant of The Lightening Seeds or Echobelly.
Speaking about their return, the group comment, “There’s a special kind of delight and a delicious irony in being ‘introduced’ after 30 years - it’s a potent reminder from the universe that good things may come to those who wait. Which in one sense is the principal message in our 'debut' album, Songs for the Small Places! With our third single, Who Am I Fooling, we're touching on themes of regret for opportunities not taken and the hope of future redemption – which is familiar territory for us. We're hoping to build on our introduction, maybe a firm handshake or even a hug. As ever, we live in hope!”
