Irish singer-songwriter Harry Hudson Taylor steps into new territory with Dear You, It’s Me - a tender spoken-word track set to a cinematic, ambient soundscape. It marks a departure from his usual melodic songwriting, favouring a raw, reflective tone that feels more like a letter than a song.

Best known as one half of Hudson Taylor, Harry’s solo work is rooted in folk but leans increasingly into mood, texture, and emotional openness. Now based in Berlin, his latest work blends spoken word with visual storytelling and self-produced sound design. Dear You, It’s Me captures this shift - a meditation on compassion and healing, told with striking simplicity.

The piece began as a journal entry during a quiet café shift. “It started as something I needed to hear,” Harry says. “A quiet conversation with myself. I figured, if I needed it, maybe someone else might too.”

Set against a gentle backdrop of ambient tones and lo-fi beats, the track feels like a voice from the future - calm, grounded, and wise. The short film that accompanies it, shot on Berlin’s streets, ends with Harry meeting the eyes of an older man in a silent embrace - a symbol of self-acceptance and coming home.

While Dear You, It’s Me is a standalone release, Harry’s upcoming projects will return to sung material, continuing his journey as a musical storyteller. But for now, this track offers something smaller - a quiet pause in the noise, a reminder to check in, breathe, and be gentle with yourself.
