After a summer of packed-out headline performances across the southwest of the UK, indie-rock outfit HAYTOR return with their vibrant new single ‘Need To Know (When You’re Coming Home)’.

The latest release sees the Exeter-based quintet channel emotional vulnerability through a lens of glistening guitar work and infectious indie-pop melodies. With nods to the 80s in its aesthetic and production, the track blends heartfelt lyricism with a driving rhythm section, layered keys, and angular guitar hooks that pulse with late-night energy.

Punchy yet polished, the song continues to showcase HAYTOR’s knack for balancing big-room energy with lyrical intimacy. Frontman Austin Robison explains the inspiration behind the single:"We wrote 'Need To Know' in the height of summer as this big, vibey, late night drive track. It’s about the absence of that someone, the longing of that connection and collections of hazy memories together."

The single lands on the heels of a wave of momentum for the band acorss BBC Raido and tastemaker press. HAYTOR’s recent tour has included sold-out headline dates in Bristol, London, Exeter, and Plymouth, with standout performances at venues like Rough Trade Bristol. Their growing profile has also seen them grace the stages of major festivals including Boardmasters, Lakefest, Oceanfest, and the Bear Grylls Gone Wild Festival.

With ‘Need To Know (When You’re Coming Home)’, HAYTOR further cement their status as one of the UK indie scene’s most exciting rising acts — a band equally comfortable tugging heartstrings and igniting dance floors.
