Greek-born, Brooklyn-based artist OXFLOYD returns with his latest release 'Oxygen', a stripped-back and emotionally unfiltered addition to his growing alternative catalogue.
Built around the haunting refrain “You were my oxygen,” the track reframes heartbreak as something far more visceral than a breakup. Instead of focusing on distance or nostalgia, OXFLOYD explores emotional reliance, where losing someone feels more like struggling to breathe. The song leans into that uncomfortable space between clarity and collapse, where self-awareness exists alongside the pull to fall back into old patterns.
The single was co-produced with multi-Grammy-winning executive producer Brent Kolatalo (Bruno Mars, Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar), adding a refined edge without compromising OXFLOYD’s intensity. The result is a track that feels like a sharp evolution for an artist steadily building a devoted online following.
