Having already made a serious mark over the last seventeen years, Germany's Indie-Electro-Retro-Pop-Post-Punks How To Loot Brazil have always managed to stay one step ahead of the competition. Whether it is developing new textures in which to explore or pushing the boundaries of their common fields, the trio have never stopped innovating throughout their tenure to date. And now look to continue that impressive streak with their ninth studio album 'Joy To Be Had'.
Although these last few years have certainly been a great time to broaden their musical horizons, 'Joy To Be Had' looks to keep very close to their core sound as they unleash one bright and energetic belter after another. Brimming with this rich and kinetic aesthetic that seems extremely difficult to pigeonhole, their newest LP is an immersive delight to listen to, and adds yet more flair to their already impressive run of late.
While probably one of the more electronically-focused releases of their extended career to date, 'Joy To Be Had' hones their dynamic direction into one brilliantly succinct and cohesive listen. They may have been working at this for some time, but still manage to pack plenty of punch with everything they do here.
