Jenna Kay rewrites the pop-rock rulebook with stunning new EP 'Smartsass'

Hailing from Nashville, Jenna Kay is a self-described indie-pop firecracker who returns to the limelight with her emphatic new EP, 'Smartsass'. Consisting of six tracks, the EP sports a wild, glittery backbone, though not without a fierce undercurrent. Dancing between slick pop melodies and alt-rock tendencies, the project looks at breakups, bitter truths and unfinished business as she intends to leave her mark on 2026 in style.

Diving into the release, she explains, “'Smartsass' is my attitude in album form, it’s me owning my voice, saying the things I used to keep quiet. It’s confident, sarcastic, emotional, and unapologetically honest. These songs are about growing up, standing your ground, and realising you don’t have to shrink yourself to be liked.”
