MALIK. unveils six-track electronic EP 'IRIDESCENCE'

Lahore-based producer and DJ MALIK. has teamed up with independent label Silent Roar for ‘IRIDESCENCE’, a six-track EP exploring the relationship between electronic music, colour and visual perception.

The project moves across bass music, dubstep, UK garage, drum & bass, jungle and hardgroove, while maintaining a clear focus on club environments and physical movement.

MALIK. describes the release as an attempt to translate ideas associated with colour theory into sound, considering how music can be experienced both sonically and visually.

The EP also reflects his interest in broadening international perceptions of Pakistan’s electronic scene beyond more established pop, hip-hop and diaspora sounds.

MALIK. has previously performed across Pakistan as well as Nepal and Bangladesh, while his DJ sets and productions have appeared through platforms including BBC Asian Radio, Boiler Room, Rinse FM and Refuge Worldwide.
