Experimental hip-hop project Massive Cranes have released their new single 'Statues', marking the latest chapter in the evolving sound of the project led by songwriter and producer Dan Crane.

Written and produced entirely by Crane, the track presents a slower, more deliberate approach compared with earlier releases. Built around steady production and restrained vocal delivery, 'Statues' unfolds as a reflective piece that explores themes of memory, isolation, and the quiet pressures of modern life.

The song follows previous singles 'Monuments' (2024) and 'Carnival' (2025), which introduced listeners to the project’s atmospheric take on mood-driven hip-hop. With 'Statues', Massive Cranes continue to refine that direction, focusing on stillness and emotional depth rather than urgency.

This release also represents a notable shift for the project, as Crane steps fully into the producer role for the first time.
