With soul-streaked melodies and cinematic flair, singer-songwriter Miles Jenson unveils his long-awaited debut EP Sunshine Goldmine, a three-track opus brimming with raw honesty, lush production, and a defiant sense of self. Produced by Grammy-winning duo King Garbage (Jon Batiste, The Weeknd, Leon Bridges), the project is a bold artistic reintroduction from an artist who walked away from the mainstream in pursuit of something real.

Anchored by new single “Turn On A Dime”, a tender, jazz-inflected ballad about the delicate tension between growth and vulnerability, Sunshine Goldmine channels the spirit of Chet Baker with Jenson’s hushed delivery and minimalist grace. “It’s about walking the tightrope between self-expression and being considerate of your partner’s needs,” he shares. “Sometimes in trying to protect others, we end up stifling ourselves.”

Across the EP, Jenson seamlessly weaves elements of Stax soul, alt-rock, and baroque pop into something altogether his own. The biting “Country Club” tackles race and class with wry precision, while the swirling, title track “Sunshine Goldmine” uses drug-fueled escapism as a metaphor for societal denial. Throughout, his voice guides the listener through personal reckoning and social critique alike.

Jenson’s path to Sunshine Goldmine is a story of reclamation. Raised by a jazz musician father, he was drawn to songwriting early but found himself derailed by industry pressures and personal struggles. After battling addiction and leaving behind a major-label deal in Atlanta, he resurfaced with a clearer vision and a creative partnership with King Garbage that helped bring this potent EP to life.

“This is my first honest statement,” Jenson says. “It’s not about being polished—it’s about being human.”

With a debut full-length in the works and tour dates on the horizon, Sunshine Goldmine marks the arrival of an artist unafraid to dig deep and dazzle.
