Rising singer-songwriter Miles Jenson has shared the captivating title track from his upcoming debut EP Sunshine Goldmine, out June 20. Produced by Grammy-winner King Garbage (The Weeknd, Jon Batiste, Leon Bridges), the new single showcases Jenson’s soulful, genre-blurring sound, fusing eerie strings, minimalist piano, and a rhythmic undercurrent with rich R&B vocals and lyrical introspection.

“Sunshine Goldmine” draws on a formative personal experience, where a teenage Jenson unintentionally took ketamine at a chaotic party, a moment that evolved into a broader reflection on escapism and societal delusion. “It’s about chasing inner peace through external chaos,” Jenson explains, “and how our obsession with appearances can blind us to reality.”

The track follows “Country Club,” Jenson’s biting critique of class and media bias, and continues the thematic depth of Sunshine Goldmine, a three-song project that blends raw storytelling with pointed social commentary. From jazz-inflected beginnings to country songwriting roots and an eventual artistic breakthrough in Los Angeles, Jenson’s journey has been anything but linear. After leaving a restrictive label deal and overcoming addiction, he found creative freedom collaborating with King Garbage, resulting in his most authentic work to date.

With a full-length album in the works and live dates planned for later this year, Sunshine Goldmine marks the arrival of a bold new voice unafraid to confront both internal struggles and the world around him.
