With Christmas here before you know it, rising Canadian-Australian artist Monique Angele is here to help us get in the Holiday spirit with her new single, “Sing Together On Christmas”. The track was produced and mixed by Sean Peter O’Sullivan from Highway 9 Productions and mastered by Joseph Carra from Crystal Mastering and was written during one of the Covid lockdowns.
Speaking further on the new release, Monique says, “Christmas is a time where we all want to be together, sing together and love one another. Through difficult times we should all try to love one another and care for each other. I wrote it during the time I did because it felt right, and the writing process just came out naturally. I usually always write my songs when I’m feeling something very deeply, some kind of emotion or I get inspired by something. The lyrics came first because I was thinking about how I truly felt about Christmas and especially during the pandemic. I was trying to portray a song that was happy and hopeful yet sad at the same time.”
The track starts with a gorgeous piano that immediately commands attention, and you find yourself drawn in further as Monique unveils her sublime voice that starts out soft and mellow and culminates in a raw and powerful vocal performance. As the vocal builds, the production builds with it, and the two work in perfect harmony, creating a brilliant song with huge replay value that cleverly intertwines classical and pop. It’s clear after listening just what a huge talent Monique is, and the track will likely appeal to fans of Kate Bush and Evanescence.
"Sing Together On Christmas" is available to buy/stream now on all platforms.
