Neontown hail from Italy, and this is apparent as they bring a refreshing and much needed new take on dance music. Their latest single “Eyes On Me” showcases this is in abundance. The track features playful drums, heartwarming synths and irresistible vocal melodies crafting an infectious spell-binding dance anthem. The track has been supported by the likes of BBC Introducing, further expanding their warm reception.
Discussing the single the pair explains:“The writing session for 'Eyes On Me' was very unexpected. We didn't really sit down to write the song, we were really just playing with words over an old instrumental track we had. Next thing we know, after 10 minutes we had a whole chorus for a new song and we were just so obsessed with it that we wanted to finish it as soon as possible. For some reason, it is so easy to write songs that are not personal experiences but it's more like we are playing a character. We recorded it and after we got the final master back we scrapped our next release plan and we were like "This is so gonna be the next single". The track is about going out, dancing with strangers to make someone jealous 'cause you know they're there, watching you. We're not sure what really inspired us for this particular track as it was such an unexpected writing session and we really just rolled with it!”
Inspired by Owl City, Zedd Kesha and The Veronica’s, the band began releasing in 2020 and have not looked back since. Their innate ability to craft carefully constructed melodies over driving dance rhythms places them within a league of their own. Watch this space.
