Newton Faulkner teams up with Teenage Cancer Trust for new single ‘What Took You So Long’

Newton Faulkner is set to unveil a powerful new chapter with the release of ‘What Took You So Long’ on August 15 via Cooking Vinyl, his first single from upcoming album OCTOPUS (out September 19). The release marks the start of an exciting partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust, featuring limited edition stamped “bootleg” CDs and exclusive stripped-back versions, with all proceeds going to the charity.

The track, a soaring blend of self-reflection and sonic freedom, has been two decades in the making. “I remember an A&R team looking at me like I was nuts when I played the verse idea a decade ago,” Faulkner shares. “Now I don’t listen to anyone when making music I love—what took me so long?”
