Ever since the release of their breakthrough debut EP 'Space For Good Things' in 2019, Massachusetts' Otis Shanty have always looked to adopt that warm and woozy aesthetic so many find comfort in these days. With their debut album 'Suite 33' cementing them as true innovators on the scene, the four-piece return to the fold once again to deliver their vibrant new single 'Inch Away'.
As the final preview of their forthcoming new EP 'Early Birds', which lands on the 6th October, the band have certainly pulled out all the stops to make this one of their most passionate outings to date. Swimming in this wonderfully hazy production that heightens the sweeping guitar hooks and serene vocals throughout, 'Inch Away' gives off some wonderfully heartfelt moments as it plays.
While very much akin to the traditional dream-pop sound, Otis Shanty have gone to great lengths to find their own unique take on the genre. With a broader and more immersive atmosphere layered throughout, 'Inch Away' is one to let wash over you, leaving you feeling renewed and rejuvenated.
