Paradise Circus are at the forefront of an exciting musical movement. They’re one of the few bands that are managing to create a sound that showcases a modern take on indie-rock music. Consisting of David Purchase (vocals), Callum Cartwright (guitar), Sam Allen (bass), Nathan Shingler (drums) and Peter Donnelly (keys), the band are quickly gaining a fantastic reputation within the Birmingham’s live scene. With the likes of NME and BBC Introducing offering full support, they’re certainly not one to miss.
Paradise Circus are back with a new infectious single entitled “Sanguinem.” The track is an electrifying, indie-rock anthem that will be sure to get you up and moving. “Sanguinem” features compact instrumentation, with heavy-hitting drums, driving bass lines and distortion-drenched guitars working hand in glove with each other. Purchase’s vocals are infectious and land perfectly on top, fully showcasing his fantastic lyricism.
Speaking further about the track, they explain: “The record is about someone who is going into conflict and reflecting on the struggle someone has, originally written in the first person of a boy being forced to fight in war.”
With a loyal audience and irresistibly-penned music, we can’t wait to see where they’ll take this.
