Dublin pop riser Pastiche shares feminist anthem 'Body Clock' feat. Celaviedmai, taken from her forthcoming EP Femme Fatality (out October 16th).
Bringing together two of the most exciting voices in Irish pop, the track sees Pastiche and Celaviedmai join forces for a defiant release that places them firmly at the forefront of a new generation of Irish artists. Both were recently named among RTÉ 2FM’s Rising Artists for 2025, a nod to their rapidly growing profiles and the momentum that has seen them play to packed-out crowds across Ireland and the UK.
Produced with long-time collaborator Liam Geddes, 'Body Clock' delivers the elements that have defined Pastiche’s acclaim to date: unflinching songwriting, infectious hooks, and high-energy, danceable production. Written in the midst of a challenging period in her life, the track channels the personal into something universal, speaking to the complex pressures of womanhood and fertility.
At just 26, Pastiche was diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis, underwent egg freezing, navigated the upheaval of moving back home after years in London, and endured friendship breakdowns. It was during this time that the song emerged, born from the frustration and fear of living under the shadow of a biological clock.
Speaking on the single, she explains:
“Pastiche, for me, is what I always wanted to be as a woman — strong, independent, confident, all the things that I wish I was but that I feel like I’m not. ‘Body Clock’ came out of a really raw place. I was diagnosed with endometriosis at 25 and froze my eggs thinking I was doing really well, and then this year I found out I also have adenomyosis — basically I was told I needed to have a baby soon or I risk it never happening for me. I told Liam it felt like I had this big clock on my forehead that everyone could see, just counting down. We came up with ‘Body Clock’ and wrote the whole thing in a day. It’s about the pressure, the fear, and the frustration of feeling like your body is on a timeline you didn’t choose.”
The wider project, Femme Fatality, is described by Pastiche as “an unapologetic, dark, and honest reflection on the female experience.” Across its tracks, she explores themes of body image, sexuality, infertility, and self-worth, while also celebrating resilience and transformation. The result is a collection that offers sharp, thought-provoking commentary without losing its shimmering pop sensibility.
Pastiche has already become a familiar name across Irish media and beyond, with support from Spotify Editorial playlists (NMF, NPOPUK, EQUAL), heavy airplay on RTÉ, Today FM, and BBC NI, and press coverage from outlets such as Notion, 1883, The Irish Independent, Hot Press, and Nialler9. Her breakout single “Forfeit Control” climbed to No. 3 on the Irish Radio Breakers Chart, remaining there for six weeks, and her 2024 singles achieved more than 12.5 million radio impacts in Ireland alone.
On stage, Pastiche has built a reputation as a powerful live act, with performances at Primavera Pro, Iceland Airwaves, Other Voices Wales, Indiependence, Sea Sessions, Dublin Pride, and Ireland Music Week. She has also opened for international names including Alice Glass, Lyra, and Robert Grace, while headlining her own shows at Dublin’s Whelan’s and The Grand Social.
With 'Body Clock' and the upcoming Femme Fatality EP, Pastiche continues to cement her place as one of Ireland’s most vital new pop voices — unafraid to confront raw truths while crafting music built to resonate on both emotional and communal levels.
'Body Clock' feat. Celaviedmai is out now. Femme Fatality follows on October 16th.
