Cincinnati-based alt-rock trio PHANTA introduce themselves with the emotionally charged debut single 'Stuck'. Written and self-recorded by frontwoman Cassidy Witt during the peak of the COVID-19 lockdown, the track captures the raw, unspoken turbulence of young adulthood halted by a global standstill.
Born out of Witt’s personal experience transitioning from high school to college in isolation, 'Stuck' channels feelings of detachment, identity loss, and longing for connection. What began as a solitary home demo became the genesis of PHANTA, now a full-fledged band with bassist David Goodwin and drummer Nick Holland rounding out the lineup.
Anchored by a stark vulnerability and driven by Witt’s arresting vocal delivery, 'Stuck' fuses moody textures with a haunting, slow-burning energy, a powerful and relatable statement on the search for self in uncertain times. It’s an unforgettable introduction to PHANTA’s introspective yet visceral sound, and a compelling start to their story.
