After recently returning with their highly-praised comeback single 'Be Better' earlier this year, Macclesfield's Queen Cult are back to their vibrant best once again as they deliver their explosive new single 'Stop Calling'.

Bringing back more of that monstrous alt-rock flavour that has quickly become their calling card in recent years, 'Stop Calling' is another bold and thunderous entry in their ever-expanding catalogue. Brimming with ferocious riffs and killer vocals throughout, they return to the fold with one of their biggest anthems yet.

Adding about the new release, lead singer and founder Maisie Johnson said, “It came about when I witnessed someone receiving unwanted attention and they felt frustrated that their boundaries were being constantly crossed. Sometimes you just want to tell someone to shut the f*ck up!

"I had the riff for ages so it all just started to come together. The stomp came from wanting to give people something to dance to. Dancing after all does relieve stress!

"All in all, we should be mindful of each other's boundaries. This song could mean something or absolutely nothing to be fair! It could just be about being mis-sold insurance!

"There’s a bit of an alternative meaning with the music video. We are cold calling and knocking on peoples doors trying to sell them this single and most people don't want to buy it or they just want it without seeing its value, however this does not rule out all the lovely people who still see its worth, it’s not the people’s fault! This video was to highlight how hard the industry has made it to plug a single in this climate and how hard streaming has made music lose its worth and tangibility. Now, I think it’s actually more about engaging with the community.”
