Independent rapper, songwriter, and studio engineer J.R.Clark marks a decade in the game with his latest album, 10 Years Later, a project that balances reflection with forward momentum. Known for his sharp lyricism, meticulous production, and knack for turning personal moments into universally relatable stories, J.R.Clark delivers a record that feels both intimate and ambitious.

Leading the charge is the standout single, “I Just Wanna Know”, a hypnotic, high-energy track that nods to the golden era of 2010s hip-hop while keeping a modern edge.

“I remember having a heated conversation with my ex-girlfriend one day, and during the argument, I said: ‘I just wanna know, babygirl, do you feel me?’ That line stuck with me for days. It felt honest—raw—and I knew there was something powerful in it. So I decided to build the entire song around that phrase,”

Since his 2015 debut That Weekend, which earned him a spot on Z104 Shaggfest alongside Travis Scott, 50 Cent, and Pusha T, J.R.Clark has steadily carved out his lane as an independent force in hip-hop. He’s collaborated with Smoke DZA, Stalley, and Fendi P, while sharing stages with DaBaby, Gunna, Rick Ross, and Nipsey Hussle. Along the way, his work has been celebrated by Lyrical Lemonade, Notion, Flaunt, The Source, and Hot 97.

10 Years Later sees J.R.Clark honoring the sound and spirit that shaped him while pushing his artistry into new territory. The album captures the essence of classic American hip-hop while asserting his place as one of today’s most authentic independent voices.
