Lost Velvet have released “Dark Cells,” a new alt-rock single distributed by Forbury Lion, as anticipation builds for their debut album arriving later this year.
The track features Robert Butcher and Melissa Morris trading vocals over immersive guitar layers and driving post-rock rhythms. Produced by the duo and mixed by Michael Patterson, the song captures a widescreen sonic approach that merges alternative rock and shoegaze influences.
Mastering duties were handled by Maor Appelbaum, whose work adds clarity to the track’s textured, heavy soundscape.
“Dark Cells” continues Lost Velvet’s momentum following BBC Introducing airplay across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Solent. The duo’s debut album is currently in post-production and will mark their first full-length release.
