Following the roaring response to her much-loved efforts 'My Bad' and 'Kiss The Sky' in recent months, New Zealand's Rita Mae is back on the grind once again to offer up her wistful new single 'Big Star'.
Lifted from her forthcoming new EP 'Kiss The Sky', which is out on the 8th November, 'Big Star' makes for a beautifully warm and riveting listen. With her spellbinding vocals spread across a lofty acoustic-led production throughout, she is certainly looking to serenade us with this one.
Speaking about the track, she said, “This is definitely the most stripped down track on the project.‘Big Star’ is set in the future in a scenario where the main character has given up everything to chase a dream. It acts like “some kind of warning to myself.
“Follow your dreams but at what cost? I love music. I want my whole life to be music. But I also want love and friendship and happiness and a million other things, and sometimes it feels like “chase your dreams” comes with “and sacrifice everything else!”
